It was very helpful and helped me get comfort before purchasing this.This was more expensive than other options I saw on Amazon but I think the premium price was well worth it. This is a very solid bed frame and I agree that it is very quiet. We had an older expandable bed frame we were using before we purchased this and the box spring and bed was sagging in the middle of our queen sized bed. No sag after we purchased this as it is well supported! I looked at the cheaper options on Amazon and I saw the complaints about cheap plastic parts for the glides that go to the floor that broke. The plastic parts this bed frame uses for the glides are very thick and solid and I have no doubt they will not break. It's exceptionally heavy and solid metal, and ingeniously simple to assemble alone. It really does require no hardware; everything fits together in a way that uses the weight of the rails and the bed to create a tight, solid fit. I had to use a mallet at each connection to bring all of the glides even with each other so the frame was level on the floor, since the glides on the center rail were higher than those on the sides. However, this also ensured that the connections were as tight as possible, and it worked out great. The pieces used for the glides are also excellent quality, and everything fit together beautifully.Critically important to me is that this frame doesn't make one sound, not the tiniest squeak or rattle, when I'm sleeping on it. I had to return another manufacturer's "heavy duty" frame because it squeaked every time I moved; it was horrible! I also attached a metal headboard to this frame with no problem.
