I made my decision based upon the comments left by other reviewers and I shopped around on Amazon to find the lowest price (note: the same item is sold by several vendors through Amazon). I paid about $100 for it, including shipping and it arrived quickly and without any complications. The bed was easy to set up. The first thing I found remarkable was the number of support wires. You can see them in the photo, and they are all made of durable metal and closely spaced. The only modification that I made was to put a sliced tennis ball under each of the six legs so the metal feet would not scratch my floor. The twin IKEA mattress fit like a dream, and the combination affords a very comfortable, yet sturdy, bed.
